And we're back... As the world moves forward, amidst the struggle of a global pandemic, this post may be asking for something that is really hard to do. Quite frankly, I think it is hard to do at any time. It is incredibly hard to be thankful in the moment. Most high achievers are always pushing towards the next thing. What can I succeed at next? What is my next, new and exciting challenge? Having general awareness about yourself and your situation is a skill. I know that as coach, one of the biggest traits that I look for in recruits is self-awareness. This allows an individual to have clarity with where they fit. By no means am I saying that I am looking for people who are content. I want brown-nosed student-athletes that are over achievers and have a chip on their shoulder.
